Abstract
Described herein are compositions and methods for the prognosis, prevention and treatment of melanoma or melanoma associated symptoms. The compositions are microRNA molecules associated with melanoma or with melanoma brain tropism, as well as various nucleic acid molecules relating thereto or derived therefrom.
Claims10
A method for treating melanoma comprising administering to a subject in need thereof an amount effective to treat melanoma of a composition comprising an agent which inhibits the expression of a nucleic acid sequence selected from the group consisting of:

- 9, 11 and 9+11 and a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier, wherein administration of the composition inhibits the growth and viability of melanoma cells in said subject.
