Abstract
Disclosed is an organic light emitting device comprising an anode; a cathode; and a plurality of stacks formed between the anode and the cathode. The plurality of stacks respectively emit their respective light of colors different from one another, wherein the plurality of stacks include a stack emitting blue light and a stack emitting mixed light of blue light and yellow-green to red light. Because the organic light emitting device includes a stack emitting blue light and a stack emitting mixed light of yellow-green to red light and blue light, blue light having a relatively low efficiency may be emitted from the two stacks, whereby overall light emitting efficiency is improved.
Claims13
An organic light emitting device comprising:
- an anode;
- a cathode;
- and
- a plurality of light emitting stacks on top of each other between the anode and the cathode, the plurality of light emitting stacks respectively emitting light of colors different from each another,
- wherein the plurality of light emitting stacks include a first stack including a light emitting layer emitting a first blue light and a second stack including a light emitting layer emitting a second blue light and a yellow-green to red light,
- wherein the first stack is closest to the anode, and the second stack is closest to the cathode,
- wherein, in the second stack, the light emitting layer emitting the second blue light and the yellow-green to red light includes a light emitting layer emitting the second blue light and a separate light emitting layer emitting the yellow-green to red light, and
- wherein the light emitting layer emitting the yellow-green to red light includes a first host material having yellow-green to red light emitting and electron transporting characteristics, a second host material having hole transporting characteristics, and a yellow-green to red dopant.
An organic light emitting device comprising:
- an anode;
- a cathode;
- a plurality of light emitting stacks on top of each other between the anode and the cathode,
- wherein the plurality of stacks include a first stack including a light emitting layer emitting a first blue light and a second stack including a plurality of light emitting layers emitting a second blue light and a red light,
- wherein the first stack is closest to the anode, and the second stack is closest to the cathode,
- wherein, in the second stack, the plurality of light emitting layers includes a light emitting layer emitting the second blue light and a light emitting layer emitting the red light, and
- wherein the light emitting layer emitting red light includes a first host material having red light emitting and electron transporting characteristics, a second host material having hole transporting characteristics, and a red dopant.
