Abstract
A method for controlling fluid flow includes, deforming at least one deformable member disposed between two tubulars that are radially aligned with one another, at least one of the at least one deformable member is positioned between a fluid inlet and a fluid outlet and regulating flow of fluid by deforming the at least one deformable member positioned between the fluid inlet and the fluid outlet sufficiently to achieve a desired flow rate.
Claims14
A method for controlling fluid flow comprising:
- deforming at least one deformable member disposed in operable communication with an annular space between two tubulars of the same string disposable in a downhole environment that are radially aligned with one another, at least one of the at least one deformable member being positioned between a fluid inlet in one of the two tubulars and a fluid outlet in the other of the two tubulars;
- and
- regulating flow of fluid by deforming the at least one deformable member positioned in operable communication with the annular space between the fluid inlet and the fluid outlet sufficiently to achieve a desired flow rate.
