An intraoral radiation device compatible with oral cavities, comprising a biocompatible intraoral receptacle with an X-ray source therein, wherein the intraoral receptacle is fixedly mountable in an oral cavity, wherein the intraoral radiation device further comprises a power source operationally coupled to the X-ray source, wherein the intraoral receptacle has an inner side, wherein the X-ray source comprises an X-ray tube encapsulated within a housing, and wherein the housing is mounted on a hinge affixed to the inner side of the intraoral receptacle.
