Information processing apparatus and communication apparatus

An information processing apparatus for performing communication with at least one communication apparatus, comprising:

• a first acquiring unit that acquires channel quality information indicative of quality of predetermined channel from the communication apparatus at a first interval being at a frame rate;
• a second acquiring unit that acquires transmission power control information from the communication apparatus at a second interval, the second interval being shorter than the first interval and the second interval being at a slot rate;
• a control unit that controls transmission power of signal to be transmitted to the communication apparatus based on the transmission power control information;
• and
• a transmitting unit that transmits a first interval indicating information indicating a length of the first interval,
• wherein a frame is comprised of a plurality of slots,
• wherein the transmitting unit is configured to transmit the first interval indicating information to the communication apparatus when the communication apparatus is under a soft hand-off condition,
• wherein the first interval for the communication apparatus to transmit the channel quality information is changed based on request information transmitted in DSCH (Downlink Shared Channel from the information processing apparatus and specifying feedback cycle of reporting the channel quality information.
