Home base station management using extended closed subscriber group access

An apparatus comprising:

• at least one processor;
• and
• at least one non-transitory memory including code,
• the at least one non-transitory memory and the code configured to, with the at least one processor, cause the apparatus to at least:
• send a request to connect to a home base station of a first closed subscriber group not allowing access to the apparatus, when interference from the home base station inhibits access by the apparatus to another home base station of a second closed subscriber group allowing access to the apparatus;
• and
• receive an indication of a grant of access to the first closed subscriber group when the home base station and the another home base station are within range of the user equipment;
• wherein sending the request is configured to cause access control to be performed to extend, based on the allowed access to the second closed subscriber group, access of the user equipment to the first closed subscriber group.

An apparatus comprising:

• at least one processor;
• and
• at least one non-transitory memory including code, the at least one non-transitory memory and the code configured to, with the at least one processor, cause the apparatus to at least:
• receive a request from a user equipment to connect to the apparatus of a first closed subscriber group not allowing access to the user equipment, when interference from the apparatus inhibits access by the user equipment to another home base station of a second closed subscriber group allowing access to the user equipment;
• perform access control to extend, based on the allowed access to the second closed subscriber group, access of the user equipment to the first closed subscriber group in order to manage the interference;
• and
• send an indication of a grant of access to the first closed subscriber group when the another home base station is within range of the user equipment.
