Abstract
A method of operating an organic light emitting diode (OLED) display device and an OLED display using the method are disclosed. In one aspect, input data is received, the input data is converted into mapped data based on random data mapping information, one sub-frame pattern is selected from a plurality of sub-frame patterns based on the random data mapping information, and an image is formed for the display device based on the mapped data and the selected sub-frame pattern.
Claims20
A method of operating an organic light emitting display device comprising:
- receiving input data;
- converting the input data into mapped data based on random data mapping information;
- selecting one sub-frame pattern from a plurality of sub-frame patterns based on the random data mapping information;
- and
- forming an image for the display device based on the mapped data and the selected sub-frame pattern.
An organic light emitting display device, comprising:
- a display unit including a plurality of pixels;
- and
- a driving unit configured to receive input data, to convert the input data into mapped data based on random data mapping information, to select one sub-frame pattern from a plurality of sub-frame patterns based on the random data mapping information, and to control the display unit to form an image for the display device based on the mapped data and the selected sub-frame pattern.
