Abstract
A barcoded indicator operative to provide a machine-readable indication of exceedance of at least one threshold by at least one product quality affecting parameter, the barcoded indicator including a first barcode including a first plurality of barcode bars and at least a first colorable area, at least a second barcode including a second plurality of barcode bars and at least a second colorable area, and at least one interposed line extending between the first barcode and the second barcode, the interposed line being capable of preventing a barcode reader from reading parts of the first barcode and of the second barcode as part of a single barcode.
Claims19
A barcoded indicator operative to provide a machine-readable indication of exceedance of at least one threshold by at least one product quality affecting parameter, said barcoded indicator comprising:
- a first barcode including a first plurality of barcode bars and at least one first colorable area,
- at least a second barcode including a second plurality of barcode bars and at least a second colorable area, and
- at least a third barcode including a third plurality of barcode bars and at least a third colorable area,
- said quality indicator being operative to provide separate indications of exceedance of at least two different thresholds relating to said at least one product quality affecting parameter,
- said first barcode being readable before exceedance of a first of said at least two different thresholds,
- said second barcode being unreadable before exceedance of said first of said at least two different thresholds, and
- upon exceedance of said first threshold of said at least two different thresholds said first barcode becomes unreadable as a result of coloring of at least a portion of said at least one first colorable area and generally simultaneously said at least a second barcode becomes readable as a result of coloring of at least a portion of said at least a second colorable area.
