Abstract
The present invention is directed to a polypeptide which comprises: (i) an Rv1753c protein sequence; (ii) a variant of an Rv1753c protein sequence; or (iii) an immunogenic fragment of an Rv1753c protein sequence. In other aspects the invention is directed to associated polynucleotides, fusion proteins and methods for the treatment or prevention of tuberculosis.
Claims5
A pharmaceutical composition comprising:
- an Rv1753c polypeptide which comprises an amino acid sequence that is at least 95% identical to an amino acid sequence selected from the group consisting of SEQ ID Nos:
- 1 and 3-7;
- and a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier or excipient.
An immunogenic composition comprising:
- an Rv1753c polypeptide which comprises an amino acid sequence that is at least 95% identical to an amino acid sequence selected from the group consisting of SEQ ID Nos:
- 1 and 3-7
- and a non-specific immune response enhancer.
A fusion protein comprising an Rv1753c polypeptide comprising an amino acid sequence that is at least 95% identical to an amino acid sequence selected from the group consisting of SEQ ID Nos:
- 1 and 3-7.
