Steering lock with a deadlock for a motor vehicle and method of assembling same

A method for assembling an anti-theft lock, comprising:

• forming an anti-theft lock module with a deadlock by:
• positioning a closing plate of the deadlock against an opening of a housing of a bolt guide, the closing plate compressing an elastic means of the deadlock;
• placing an anti-rotation pin of the closing plate at a start of a ramp of the opening of the housing of the bolt guide;
• turning the closing plate along a profile of the ramp until a closed position is reached, wherein, in the closed position, the anti-rotation pin is engaged in a complementary notch of the opening of the housing of the bolt guide and the closing plate is locked in rotation relative to the bolt guide, compresses the elastic means, and subjects the elastic means to torsional pre-stress;
• and
• securing the closing plate to the bolt guide in the closed position;
• and
• inserting the assembled anti-theft lock module with the deadlock into an anti-theft lock body such that the closing plate is locked against the housing of the bolt guide.
