Abstract
A wearable device assembly has a housing supporting a controller, display and indicator system thereon. The controller has at least one sensor wherein activity of a user wearing the device is detected. The controller selectively illuminates the indicator system to indicate a level of activity of the user.
Claims20
A method, comprising:
- receiving user input selection indicating a wear location associated with an activity monitoring device configured to be worn by a first user;
- in response to receiving the user input selection, initiating a first data processing algorithm for measuring user activity based on the wear location;
- receiving athletic activity data from the activity monitoring device;
- identifying, by a processor, an athletic activity session initiated by the first user;
- storing the received athletic activity data;
- and
- determining, at the processor, a number of activity points earned by the first user based on the received athletic activity data.
4 more elements
An apparatus, comprising:
- a processor, and
- memory operatively coupled to the processor and storing computer readable instructions that, when executed, cause the apparatus to:
- receive user input selection indicating a wear location associated with an activity monitoring device configured to be worn by a first user;
- initiate a first data processing algorithm for measuring user activity based on the wear location;
- receive athletic activity data from the activity monitoring device;
- identify an athletic activity session initiated by the first user;
- store the received athletic activity data;
- and
- determine a number of activity points earned by the first user based on the received athletic activity data.
6 more elements
A non-transitory computer-readable medium containing computer-executable instructions for causing a computer device to perform the steps of:
- receiving user input selection indicating a wear location associated with an activity monitoring device configured to be worn by a first user;
- initiating a first data processing algorithm for measuring user activity based on the wear location;
- receiving athletic activity data from the activity monitoring device;
- identifying an athletic activity session initiated by the first user;
- storing the received athletic activity data;
- and
- determining a number of activity points earned by the first user based on the received athletic activity data.
