Abstract
A hand carryable surface cleaning apparatus is disclosed. The apparatus comprises a main body housing a suction motor, and a cyclone bin assembly removably mounted to the main body. The cyclone bin assembly may be partially or wholly nested in the body when the cyclone bin assembly is mounted to the body. The cyclone bin assembly may be removably mounted to a lower surface of the main body. The cyclone bin assembly may be removably mounted as a sealed unit.
Claims16
A hand carryable surface cleaning apparatus comprising:
- (a) a body housing a suction motor and comprising a dirty air inlet;
- (b) a cyclone bin assembly removably mounted to the body, the cyclone bin assembly is removable as a sealed unit other than the cyclone bin assembly air inlet and the cyclone bin assembly air outlet, the cyclone bin assembly comprising a cyclone bin assembly air inlet in air flow communication with the dirty air inlet when the cyclone bin assembly is mounted to the body, a cyclone chamber and a dirt collection chamber;
- and,
- (c) an air flow path extending from the dirty air inlet to a clean air outlet and including the suction motor and the cyclone chamber,
- wherein the cyclone bin assembly is at feast partially nested in the body when the cyclone bin assembly is mounted to the body, and
- wherein a recess is provided in a lower side of the body in which the cyclone bin assembly is received.
A hand carryable surface cleaning apparatus comprising:
- (a) a body housing a suction motor and comprising a dirty air inlet;
- (b) a cyclone bin assembly removably mounted to the body, the cyclone bin assembly is removable as a sealed unit other than the cyclone bin assembly air inlet and the cyclone bin assembly air outlet, the cyclone bin assembly comprising a cyclone bin assembly air inlet in air flow communication with the dirty air inlet when the cyclone bin assembly is mounted to the body, a cyclone chamber and a dirt collection chamber;
- and,
- (c) an air flow path extending from the dirty air inlet to a clean air outlet and including the suction motor and the cyclone chamber,
- wherein the cyclone bin assembly is at least partially nested in the body when the cyclone bin assembly is mounted to the body, and
- wherein the cyclone bin assembly air inlet is provided at an upper end of the cyclone bin assembly.
A hand carryable surface cleaning apparatus comprising:
- (a) a body housing a suction motor and comprising a dirty air inlet;
- (b) a cyclone bin assembly removably mounted to a lower side of the body, the cyclone bin assembly is removable as a sealed unit other than the cyclone bin assembly air inlet and the cyclone bin assembly air outlet, the cyclone bin assembly comprising a cyclone bin assembly air inlet provided at an upper end of the cyclone bin assembly and in air flow communication with the dirty air inlet when the cyclone bin assembly is mounted to the body, a cyclone chamber and a dirt collection chamber;
- and,
- (c) an air flow path extending from the dirty air inlet to a clean air outlet and including the suction motor and the cyclone chamber.
