Abstract
Methods, devices, and circuits are disclosed for regulating a first parameter of one or more LEDs. The methods, devices, and circuits further disclose switching, in response to an indication of a dimmer interface, from regulating the first parameter of the one or more LEDs to regulating a second parameter below a light generation threshold of the one or more LEDs, wherein switching from regulating the first parameter to regulating the second parameter causes the one or more LEDs to enter a non-light generation mode.
Claims21
A method comprising:
- regulating a first parameter of one or more light emitting diodes (LEDs) connected to one or more components;
- and
- switching, in response to an indication from a dimmer interface, from regulating the first parameter of the one or more LEDs to regulating a second parameter below a light generation threshold of the one or more LEDs, wherein switching from regulating the first parameter to regulating the second parameter causes the one or more LEDs to enter a non-light generation mode;
- wherein the switching from regulating the first parameter to regulating the second parameter is performed by adjusting a winding ratio between a secondary winding of a transformer and an auxiliary winding of the transformer.
1 more element
A device comprising:
- one or more components configured to apply at least one of a regulated current or a regulated voltage to a load, wherein the load includes one or more light-emitting-diodes (LEDs);
- a transformer coupled between the one or more components and the load, wherein the transformer comprises a secondary winding and an auxiliary winding;
- and
- a controller unit configured to regulate a first parameter of the one or more LEDs connected to the one or more components, wherein the controller unit, in response to an indication from a dimmer interface, adjusts a winding ratio between the secondary winding of the transformer and the auxiliary winding of the transformer to switch from regulating the first parameter of the one or more LEDs to regulating a second parameter below a light generation threshold of the one or more LEDs, wherein switching from regulating the first parameter to regulating the second parameter causes the one or more LEDs to enter a non-light generation mode.
1 more element
A circuit comprising:
- one or more components configured to apply at least one of a regulated current or a regulated voltage at a load, wherein the load includes one or more light-emitting-diodes (LEDs);
- a transformer coupled between the one or more components and the load, wherein the transformer comprises a secondary winding and an auxiliary winding;
- and
- a controller unit configured to regulate a first parameter of the one or more LEDs connected to one or more components, wherein the controller unit, in response to an indication from a dimmer interface, adjusts a winding ratio between the secondary winding of the transformer and the auxiliary winding of the transformer to switch from regulating the first parameter of the one or more LEDs to regulating a second parameter below a light generation threshold of the one or more LEDs, wherein switching from regulating the first parameter to regulating the second parameter causes the one or more LEDs to enter a non-light generation mode.
