Abstract
An apparatus configured for video telephony includes a receiving device configured to receive video data at a first bitrate; send a request to change the first bitrate to a second bitrate; receive a first intra coded picture in response to the request to change the first bitrate to the second bitrate; in response to detecting the second bitrate, flush the first intra coded picture from a picture buffer; and in response to flushing the first intra coded picture from the picture buffer, send a request for a second intra coded picture.
Claims30
A method for video telephony, the method comprising:
- receiving video data at a first bitrate as part of an active video telephony session;
- sending a request to change the first bitrate to a second bitrate;
- receiving a first intra coded picture in response to the request to change the first bitrate to the second bitrate;
- in response to detecting the second bitrate, flushing the first intra coded picture from a picture buffer;
- and
- in response to flushing the first intra coded picture from the picture buffer, sending a request for a second intra coded picture.
An apparatus configured for video telephony, the apparatus comprising:
- a receiving device configured to:
- receive video data at a first bitrate as part of an active video telephony session;
- send a request to change the first bitrate to a second bitrate;
- receive a first intra coded picture in response to the request to change the first bitrate to the second bitrate;
- in response to detecting the second bitrate, flush the first intra coded picture from a picture buffer;
- and
- in response to flushing the first intra coded picture from the picture buffer, send a request for a second intra coded picture.
An apparatus configured to perform video telephony, the apparatus comprising:
- means for receiving video data at a first bitrate as part of an active video telephony session;
- means for sending a request to change the first bitrate to a second bitrate;
- means for receiving a first intra coded picture in response to the request to change the first bitrate to the second bitrate;
- means for flushing the first intra coded picture from a picture buffer in response to detecting the second bitrate;
- and
- means for sending a request for a second intra coded picture in response to flushing the first intra coded picture from the picture buffer.
A non-transitory computer-readable storage medium storing instructions that when executed by one or more processors cause the one or more processors to:
- receive video data at a first bitrate as part of an active video telephony session;
- send a request to change the first bitrate to a second bitrate;
- receive a first intra coded picture in response to the request to change the first bitrate to the second bitrate;
- in response to detecting the second bitrate, flush the first intra coded picture from a picture buffer;
- and
- in response to flushing the first intra coded picture from the picture buffer, send a request for a second intra coded picture.
