Abstract
A lens bears a plurality of roll-coated layers to pass, to one eye of a viewer, a first image, in a first band of wavelengths, that is appropriate for 3D viewing of a stereoscopic image.
Claims9
A method of constructing glasses for viewing a 3D stereoscopic image display comprising:
- sputtering first layers of optical materials onto a flexible substrate to form a first interference filter,
- sputtering second layers of optical materials onto a second flexible substrate to form a second interference filter having a response complementary to the response of the first optical filter,
- controlling the compressive stress of the sputtering of the first and second layers to provide a built in curvature to the first and second optical filters to form first and second lenses and;
- fitting the lens into a frame.
