Display device, method of laying out light emitting elements, and electronic device

A display device comprising a plurality of subpixel groups in a matrix form, each of the plurality of subpixel groups including:

• a first light emitting section configured to emit blue light;
• a second light emitting section configured to emit green light;
• a third light emitting section configured to emit red light;
• a first subpixel circuit configured to drive the first light emitting section;
• a second subpixel circuit configured to drive the second light emitting section;
• and
• a third subpixel circuit configured to drive the third light emitting section,
• wherein,
• the first light emitting section is formed in a first shape that is longer in a first direction than a second direction perpendicular to the first direction,
• the second light emitting section and the third light emitting section are disposed adjacent to each other in the first direction and are formed in second and third shapes, respectively, that are less oblong than the first shape,
• each of the first, second, and third subpixel circuits includes a first transistor, a second transistor, and a first capacitance,
• the second transistor is configured to sample a signal voltage from a signal line to the first capacitance, and
• the first transistor is configured to control a current from a power supply line to the corresponding light emitting section according to the signal voltage.
