Abstract
A digital image of the object is captured and the object is recognized from plurality of objects in a database. An information address corresponding to the object is then used to access information and initiate communication pertinent to the object.
Claims20
A portable device comprising:
- a display screen;
- a processor;
- and
- a non-transitory computer readable memory storing software instructions that, when executed by the processor, cause the processor to be configured to:
- store an identifier code in the memory;
- encode the identifier code into an image recognizable by an interactive system;
- and
- enable the interactive system to derive at least one characteristic of the image;
- enable the interactive system to recognize the image as including a known target object based at least in part on the at least one characteristic, wherein the known target object is associated with the identifier code;
- cause the interactive system to perform a transaction via an address upon recognizing the image by displaying the image on the display screen while proximate to an image sensor of the interactive system.
