Dynamic language translation of web site content

A method implemented on a computer having at least one processor, storage, and communication platform for updating URLs, comprising the steps of:

• accessing from an Internet source, via a publicly available network path, content of a webpage in a first language represented by an original URL;
• identifying one or more search engine relevant elements present in the content of the webpage in the first language;
• receiving a translation in the second language of at least one of the identified one or more search engine relevant elements;
• converting the translation into a URL friendly format to generate a search engine optimized path;
• incorporating the search engine optimized path into the original URL to generate an updated URL representing a webpage in the second language corresponding to the webpage in the first language;
• applying the updated URL to represent the webpage in the second language corresponding to the webpage in the first language to facilitate Internet search, and
• storing the updated URL in association with the original URL.
