Claims16
A method for the stabilization of a cosmetic composition comprising a cosmetically suitable carrier and/or at least one cosmetic adjuvant and dihydroxyacetone or a derivative of dihydroxyacetone, the method comprising adding to the cosmetic composition metal oxide particles and/or metal hydroxide particles having a primary particle size according to the Scherrer method in the range from 5 nm to 100 nm, wherein said particles have been treated with an organic phosphorus compound selected from:
- hydroxyalkyldiphosphonic acids;
- alkylphosphonic acids, which may be substituted by at least one COOH group;
- aminoalkylenephosphonic acids;
- or organic phosphoric acid esters or salts thereof.
