Abstract
The invention provides seed and plants of tomato hybrid EX01431182 and the parent lines thereof. The invention thus relates to the plants, seeds and tissue cultures of tomato hybrid EX01431182 and the parent lines thereof, and to methods for producing a tomato plant produced by crossing such plants with themselves or with another tomato plant, such as a plant of another genotype. The invention further relates to seeds and plants produced by such crossing. The invention further relates to parts of such plants, including the fruit and gametes of such plants.

A tomato plant of hybrid EX01431182, a sample of seed of said hybrid having been deposited under ATCC Accession No. PTA-10688.

A method of introducing a desired trait into a tomato line comprising:
- (a) introducing at least a first heritable trait into a tomato line selected from the group consisting of line FIS 14-2100 and line FIS 14-2101 to produce a plant of the first inbred tomato line that heritably carries the trait, wherein the heritable trait is introduced into said first tomato line by backcrossing and wherein representative samples of seed of tomato line FIS 14-2100 and line FIS 14-2101 have been deposited under ATCC Accession Number PTA-10604, and ATCC Accession Number PTA-10605, respectively;
- and
- (b) crossing a plant of the first inbred tomato line that heritably carries the trait with a plant of a different line selected from said group consisting of FIS 14-2100 and line FIS 14-2101 to produce a plant of hybrid EX01431182 comprising the heritable trait.
A method of producing a plant comprising an added trait, the method comprising introducing a transgene conferring the trait into a plant of hybrid EX01431182, a sample of seed of said hybrid having been deposited under ATCC Accession No. PTA-10688.
A method for producing a seed of a plant derived from hybrid EX01431182 comprising the steps of:
- (a) crossing a tomato plant of hybrid EX01431182 with itself or a second tomato plant;
- a sample of seed of said hybrid having been deposited under ATCC Accession No. PTA-10688;
- and
- (b) allowing seed of a hybrid EX01431182-derived tomato plant to form.
