Utility-blade dispenser

A dispenser for utility-knife blades each having at least one cutting edge, the dispenser comprising:

• a housing formed with a front end having an opening and with a rear end, the housing having a first and second confronting inner faces each formed with a respective shoulder, the first inner face forming a first removal seat and the second inner face forming a second removal seat;
• and
• a slide formed with a compartment adapted to hold a stack of the utility knife blades and shiftable in the housing between a rear position and a front position, the slide having openings allowing the stack to move to the first inner face or to the second inner face, the shoulder having a height equal generally to a thickness of a single blade such that displacement of the slide from the front position to the rear position causes the shoulder to block rearward movement of only the outermost blade in the stack and hold it in a removal position in the first removal seat or the second removal seat for removal of the blade through the opening at the front end of the housing.
