Graphical user interface for efficiently visualizing multiple messages of different severities in a tabular format

A computer program product for providing a graphical user interface, the computer program product comprising a non-transitory computer readable storage medium having program code embodied therewith, the program code executable by the computer to perform operations comprising:

• receiving messages individually corresponding to resources being monitored on the computer;
• displaying rows in a table, the rows respectively corresponding to the resources on a one-to-one basis;
• dynamically generating bar graphs of the messages respectively corresponding to the resources in the rows;
• wherein each of the bar graphs displays a coded scheme to visually distinguish severity of the messages in each of the rows respectively for the resources;
• wherein each of the bar graphs corresponds to a given row on a one-to-one basis;
• and
• respectively displaying the bar graphs in each of the rows;
• wherein the bar graphs display the severity of the messages for one resource per the given row without requiring user intervention to view severities of the messages displayed by the coded scheme, without requiring user intervention to view a total number of messages for the given row, and while maintaining a same row height regardless of the total number of messages for the given row;
• for one bar graph of the bar graphs in one row of the rows, displaying, by the computer, the one bar graph in the one row comprising a first color designating high severity messages, a second color designating medium severity messages, and a third color designating low severity messages, wherein, for the one bar graph in the one row, a first length of the first color is proportional to a number of the high severity messages, a second length of the second color is proportional to a number of the medium severity messages, and a third length of the third color is proportional to a number of the low severity messages.
