Vertical fore grip with bipod

A handle with a collapsible and extendable bipod, comprising:

• a handgrip with a first end and a second end having an opening, the handgrip having an exterior surface adaptable for use as a handle;
• and
• a bipod having legs with a retracted position where the legs are generally in a sandwich position inside the second end opening of the handgrip, the legs having an expanded position with the legs extended beyond the second end opening, wherein releasing the legs causes the legs to move from the retracted position to the expanded position;
• and
• a catch for holding the legs in the retracted position, wherein the legs are dropped from the retracted position to the expanded position by gravity when the catch is released.

A handle with a collapsible and extendable bipod, comprising:

• a handgrip with a first end and a second end having an opening, the handgrip having an exterior surface adaptable for use as a handle;
• and
• a bipod having legs with a retracted position where the legs are generally in a sandwich position inside the second end opening of the handgrip, the legs having an expanded position with the legs extended beyond the second end opening, wherein releasing the legs causes the legs to move from the retracted position to the expanded position;
• and
• a catch for holding the legs in the retracted position, wherein the legs are dropped from the retracted position to the expanded position by inertial action when the catch is released.

A handle with a collapsible and extendable bipod, comprising:

• a handgrip with a first end and a second end having an opening, the handgrip having an exterior surface adaptable for use as a handle;
• and
• a bipod having legs with a retracted position where the legs are generally in a sandwich position inside the second end opening of the handgrip, the legs having an expanded position with the legs extended beyond the second end opening, wherein releasing the legs causes the legs to move from the retracted position to the expanded position;
• a catch for holding the legs in the retracted position, wherein the legs are capable of being manually pulled from the retracted position to the expanded position when the catch is released;
• and
• a switch for causing the catch to be released.
