Abstract
A sequencer that measures a nucleic acid sequence in a nucleic acid strand includes: a base material having a surface made of silicon, and a fibrous protrusion that is made of silicon dioxide and is directly joined to the surface of the base material made of silicon, wherein a plurality of the nucleic acid strands are fixed onto the fibrous protrusion.
Claims7
A sensor comprising:
- a base material having a surface;
- and
- fibrous protrusions formed from amorphous silicon dioxide and the fibrous protrusions being undulating and curling, having a crimped shape, and being configured so as to intertwine with other fibrous protrusions,
- wherein each fibrous protrusion of the fibrous protrusions has functional molecules formed respectively thereon.
