Abstract
Disclosed are naphtho[2,3-f]quinoxaline compounds and pharmaceutical composition thereof. The compounds of the invention have been demonstrated as having analgesic effects and therefore may be applicable for use as a novel agent in relieving acute or chronic pain.

A method for alleviating a pain selected from the group consisting of chronic inflammatory pain, nociceptive pain, and neuropathic pain, the method comprising a step of:
- administering to a subject suffering from the pain a pharmaceutical compound, wherein the pharmaceutical compound is a compound represented by one of Formula I and Formula II:
- and R4 is one of hydrogen and methyl.
A method for alleviating a pain selected from the group consisting of chronic inflammatory pain, nociceptive pain, and neuropathic pain, the method comprising a step of:
- administering to a subject suffering from the pain a pharmaceutical composition including a therapeutically effective amount of compound, wherein the pharmaceutical compound is a compound represented by one of Formula I and Formula II:
- and R4 is one of hydrogen and methyl.
