Abstract
Disclosed are nutritional compositions including human milk oligosaccharides that can be administered to preterm infants, term infants, toddlers, and children for reducing inflammation and the incidence of inflammatory diseases.

A method to reduce inflammation in an infant, toddler, or child in need thereof, the method comprising administering to the infant, toddler, or child a nutritional composition comprising the human milk oligosaccharide lacto-N-neotetraose in a concentration of from about 0.001 mg/mL to 0.1 mg/mL.
