Abstract
Disclosed is the Use of UV absorbers selected from (a1) diphenylacrylates; and (a2) specific hydroxyphenyl triazines for stabilizing cosmetic compositions comprising an organic UV absorber selected from (b1) a specific benzophenone derivative, (b2) a specific benzotriazole derivative and (b3) a specific triazine derivative and UV filters selected from (c1) cinnamic acid derivatives; and (c2) dibenzoylmethane derivatives.
Claims2
A method of treating the combination of components (b1) and (c1) in a cosmetic composition in need of stabilization comprising
- the step of adding 2 to 10% by weight of UV absorber
- (a1) 2-ethylhexyl 2-cyano-3,3-diphenylacrylate to the cosmetic composition, which comprises 0.1 to 2% by weight of organic UV absorber
- and
- 0.1 to 2 % by weight of UV filter (c1) 2-ethylhexyl 4-methoxycinnamate,
- wherein the combination (b1) and (c1) is more stable to light when (a1) is added to the combination.
