A laundry care composition comprising from about 0.00001 wt % to about 0.5 wt % of a mono-azo carboxylate dye is selected from

• wherein R1 is independently selected from the group consisting of:
• (a) unsubstituted or substituted C1 to C12 alkyl chains, optionally the alkyl chains comprising ether (C—O—C), ester and/or amide links, optionally, the alkyl chains are substituted with —Cl, —Br, —CN, —NO2, —SO2CH3, —OH and mixtures thereof;
• and
• (b) (CH2CH2O)y((CH2)wNH)zQ;
• wherein R2 is (CH2CH2O)y′((CH2)w′NH)z′Q′;
• wherein y and y′ are independently selected integers from 0 to about 39;
• wherein the sum of y+y′ is in the range of from about 3 to about 30;
• wherein w and w′ are independently selected from about 2 and about 3;
• wherein z and z′ are independently selected from 0 and about 1;
• wherein z is 1 when y is 0;
• wherein z′ is 1 when y′ is 0;
• wherein Q and Q′ are independently selected from the group consisting of H and Y;
• wherein at least one Q or Q′ group is Y;
• wherein Y is an organic radical represented by Formula V
• wherein independently for each Y group:
• M is H or a charge balancing cation;
• m is 0 to about 5;
• n is 0 to about 5;
• the sum of m+n is about 1 to about 10;
• each R12 is independently selected from the group consisting of H, C3-18 or C4-C18 linear or branched alkyl, C3-18 or C4-C18 linear or branched alkenyl, and mixtures thereof,
• at least one R12 group is not H;
• wherein R3 is selected from acid amide, C1-C8 alkyl, heteroaromatic and aryl;
• wherein R4 is selected from CN, NO2, alkoxy, carboxylic acid ester, alkyl sulfonyl and arylsulfonyl;
• wherein R5 is selected from F, Cl, Br, CN, NO2, alkoxy, phenyl, benzyl, amine, alkyl, and carboxylic acid ester;
• wherein R6 is selected from H, CN, NO2, alkoxy, alkyl sulfonyl, arylsulfonyl and carboxylic acid ester;
• wherein R7 is selected from CN, SCN, F, Cl, and Br;
• wherein R8 is selected from C1-C8 alkyl, heteroaromatic and aryl;
• wherein R9 is selected from CN, NH2C(O), NO2, and acetyl;
• wherein R10 is selected from C1-C8 alkyl;
• wherein R11 is an acid amide.
