Abstract
A container system for containing a plurality of ink pads, comprising a cover defining and at least one base. The cover defines at least first and second cover curved portions that intersect at a cover intersection portion, and the at least one base defines at least first and second base curved portions that intersect at a base intersection portion. The cover allows first and second cover mounting projections to enter first and second base mounting notches, respectively, to form an interference fit that detachably attaches the cover to the base. The second wall allows first and second base mounting projections to enter first and second base mounting notches to form an interference fit capable of detachably attaching the base to another identical base.
Claims12
A container system for containing a plurality of ink pads, comprising:
- a cover defining
- at least first and second cover curved portions that intersect at a cover intersection portion, and
- first and second cover mounting projections formed on the cover on opposite sides of the cover intersection portion;
- and
- at least one base defining
- at least first and second base curved portions that intersect at a base intersection portion,
- a support wall defining a support surface and extending between the first and second base curved portions,
- a first wall extending in a first direction from the support wall,
- a second wall extending in a second direction from the support wall,
- first and second base mounting notches, where the first and second base mounting notches are formed in the first wall on opposite sides of the at least one base intersection portion, and
- first and second base mounting projections extending from the second wall on opposite sides of the at least one base intersection portion;
- whereby
- the support surface is adapted to support at least one of the ink pads;
- the cover allows the first and second cover mounting projections to enter the first and second base mounting notches, respectively, to form an interference fit that detachably attaches the cover to the at least one base;
- the second wall allows the first and second base mounting projections to enter the first and second base mounting notches to form an interference fit capable of detachably attaching the at least one base to another identical base.
A method of containing a plurality of ink pads, comprising the steps of:
- providing a cover defining first and second cover curved portions that intersect at a cover intersection portion;
- forming first and second cover mounting projections on the cover on opposite sides of the at least one cover intersection portion;
- and
- providing at least one base, where the at least one base defines
- at least first and second base curved portions that intersect at a base intersection portion,
- a support surface, a first wall extending in a first direction from the support surface, and a second wall extending in a second direction from the support surface,
- first and second base mounting notches formed in the first wall on opposite sides of the at least one base intersection portion, and
- first and second base mounting projections formed in the second wall on opposite sides of the at least one base intersection portion;
- supporting at least one of the ink pads on the support surface;
- engaging the first and second cover mounting projections with the first and second base mounting notches to form an interference fit that detachably attaches the cover to the at least one base;
- engaging the first and second base mounting projections with the second base mounting portions to form an interference fit capable of detachably attaching the at least one base to at least one other identical base.
A container system for containing a plurality of ink pads, comprising:
- a cover defining
- at least first and second cover curved portions that intersect at a cover intersection portion, and
- first and second cover mounting projections formed on the cover on opposite sides of the at least one cover intersection portion;
- and
- a base defining
- at least first and second base curved portions that intersect at a base intersection portion,
- a support wall defining a support surface,
- a first wall extending in a first direction from the support wall,
- a second wall extending in a second direction from the support wall,
- first and second base mounting notches, where the first and second base mounting notches are formed in the first wall on opposite sides of the at least one base intersection portion,
- first and second base mounting projections extending from the second wall on opposite sides of the at least one base intersection portion, and
- third and fourth base mounting projections formed in the second wall on opposite sides of the at least one base intersection portion;
- and
- a stylus member defining first and second stylus engaging portions;
- whereby the support surface is adapted to support at least one of the ink pads;
- the cover allows the first and second cover mounting projections to enter the first and second base mounting notches, respectively, to form an interference fit that detachably attaches the cover to the base;
- the second wall allows the first and second base mounting projections to enter the first and second base mounting notches capable of forming an interference fit capable of detachably attaching the base to another identical base;
- the first and second stylus engaging portions are capable of engaging the third and fourth base mounting projections of the base to define a stylus assembly;
- and
- the container system further operates in a stylus mode in which the base is detachably attached from the cover, and
- the stylus engaging portions are detachably attached to the third and fourth base mounting projections of the base to form the stylus assembly.
A method of containing a plurality of ink pads, comprising the steps of:
- providing a cover defining first and second cover curved portions that intersect at a cover intersection portion;
- forming first and second cover mounting projections on the cover on opposite sides of the at least one cover intersection portion;
- and
- providing a base defining
- at least one base intersection portion, a support surface, a first wall extending in a first direction from the support surface, and a second wall extending in a second direction from the support surface,
- first and second base mounting notches formed in the first wall on opposite sides of the at least one base intersection portion,
- first and second base mounting projections formed in the second wall on opposite sides of the at least one base intersection portion, and
- third and fourth base mounting projections formed in the second wall on opposite sides of the at least one base intersection portion;
- providing a stylus member defining a first and second stylus engaging portions,
- where the first and second stylus engaging portions are capable of engaging the third and fourth base mounting projections of one of the plurality of bases to define a stylus assembly;
- supporting at least one of the ink pads on each of the support surfaces;
- engaging the first and second cover mounting projections with the first and second base mounting notches to form an interference fit that detachably attaches the cover to the base;
- engaging the first and second base mounting projections with the second base mounting portions capable of forming an interference fit that detachably attaches the base to another identical base;
- and
- operating the container system in a stylus mode by
- detaching the cover from the base,
- forming the stylus assembly by detachably attaching the stylus engaging portions to the third and fourth base mounting projections of the base.
