Abstract
A surface cleaning apparatus is provided wherein a cyclone chamber has a lower end having a lower end wall and a lower openable end, and a sidewall, wherein the sidewall and the lower end wall meet at a juncture and the juncture extends at an angle to the lower end wall and the sidewall, wherein the lower openable end comprises the lower end wall and at least a portion of the juncture.
Claims20
A surface cleaning apparatus comprising:
- (a) a cyclone chamber having an upper end having an upper end wall, a lower end having a lower end wall and a lower openable end, an air inlet in the lower end, an air outlet, a dirt outlet in the upper end and a sidewall, wherein the sidewall and the lower end wall meet at a juncture having a curved juncture surface, and the curved juncture surface extends at an angle to the lower end wall and the sidewall, and wherein the lower openable end comprises the lower end wall and at least a portion of the juncture surface;
- (b) a dirt collection chamber in communication with the dirt outlet and positioned exterior to the cyclone chamber;
- and,
- (c) an air flow path extending from a dirty air inlet to a clean air outlet and including a suction motor and the cyclone chamber.

A surface cleaning apparatus comprising:
- (a) a cyclone chamber having an upper end having an upper end wall, a lower end having a lower end wall and a lower openable end, an air inlet in the lower end, an air outlet, a dirt outlet in the upper end and a sidewall, wherein the sidewall and the lower end wall meet at a juncture surface and the juncture surface extends at an angle to the lower end wall and the sidewall, wherein the lower openable end comprises the lower end wall and at least a portion of the juncture;
- (b) a pre-motor filter positioned above the upper end;
- (c) a dirt collection chamber in communication with the dirt outlet and positioned exterior to the cyclone chamber;
- and,
- (d) an air flow path extending from a dirt air inlet to a clean air outlet and including a suction motor and the cyclone chamber.

A surface cleaning apparatus comprising:
- (a) a cyclone chamber having an upper end having an upper end wall, a lower end having a lower end wall and a lower openable end, an air inlet in the lower end, an air outlet, a dirt outlet in the upper end and a sidewall, wherein the sidewall and the lower end wall meet at a juncture having a juncture surface, and the juncture surface extends at an angle to the lower end wall and the sidewall, wherein the lower openable end comprises the lower end wall and at least a portion of the juncture surface;
- (b) a dirt collection chamber in communication with the dirt outlet and positioned exterior to the cyclone chamber;
- (c) a pre-motor filter and a pre-motor filter dirt chamber, and the pre-motor filter dirt chamber is removable from the surface cleaning apparatus with the dirt collection chamber and the pre-motor filter dirt chamber is removable from the surface cleaning apparatus with the cyclone chamber and,
- (d) an air flow path extending from a dirty air inlet to a clean air outlet and including a suction motor, the pre-motor filter chamber and the cyclone chamber.
