Abstract
A wireless communications system and, more particularly, to a dynamic uplink power control method and device in a wireless communications system are disclosed. A method for dynamically controlling an uplink transmission power at a base station is provided, the method includes the steps of receiving an uplink signal from a user equipment being served by the base station, deciding whether or not an uplink transmission to the base station from the user equipment causes an interference with another base station, and transmitting a transmission power control (TPC) command muting the uplink transmission to the user equipment.
Claims9
A method for dynamically controlling an uplink transmission power at a user equipment, the method comprising:
- transmitting an uplink signal to a base station;
- receiving information on uplink transmission muting;
- deactivating the uplink transmission based upon a transmission power control (TPC) command, when the information on the uplink transmission muting includes the TPC command from the base station directing the uplink transmission to be deactivated;
- and
- determining whether or not deactivating the uplink transmission and deactivating the uplink transmission based upon information for determining whether or not deactivating the uplink transmission, when the information on the uplink transmission muting includes the information for determining whether or not deactivating the uplink transmission,
- wherein:
- the information for determining whether or not deactivating the uplink transmission includes at least one of a threshold value of a path loss or a threshold value of an intensity for a received signal, and
- the user equipment determines to deactivate the uplink transmission, when a path loss is equal to or below the threshold value of a path loss or an intensity for a received signal is equal to or greater than the threshold value of an intensity for a received signal.
A user equipment for dynamically controlling an uplink transmission power, the base station comprising:
- a receiving module configured to receive a downlink signal;
- a transmitting module configured to transmit an uplink signal;
- and
- a processor configured to control the receiving module and the transmitting module,
- wherein the processor is further configured to:
- transmit an uplink signal to a base station through the transmitting module;
- receive information on uplink transmission muting;
- deactivate the uplink transmission based transmission power control (TPC) command, when the information on the uplink transmission muting includes the TPC command from the base station directing the uplink transmission to be deactivated;
- and
- determines whether or not deactivating the uplink transmission and deactivates the uplink transmission based upon information for determining whether or not deactivating the uplink transmission, when the information on the uplink transmission muting includes the information for determining whether or not deactivating the uplink transmission,
