Abstract
Methods are described for determining the amount of metabolites of leflunomide in a sample. More specifically, mass spectrometric methods are described for detecting and quantifying teriflunomide in a sample.
Claims19
A method for determining the amount of teriflunomide in a sample by mass spectrometry, said method comprising:
- a. subjecting the sample to ionization in positive ion mode under conditions suitable to produce one or more ions detectable by mass spectrometry;
- b. determining the amount of one or more ions by mass spectrometry, wherein said one or more ions determined by mass spectrometry are selected from the group consisting of ions with mass to charge ratios (m/z) of 271.3 ±0.50, 162.1 ±0.50, and 142.2 ±0.50;
- and
- c. using the amount of the one or more ions determined in step (b) to determine the amount of teriflunomide in the sample.
