Abstract
Examples include autonomously authenticating a financial transaction, on behalf of the user, without interacting with the user, via wireless communication link. In various embodiments, the user's cellular phone may be configured to process a message that provides at least partial service context and autonomously authenticate the financial transaction.
Claims30
A method to authenticate a financial transaction, comprising:
- receiving, by a computing apparatus, a first request for a financial transaction;
- transmitting, by the computing apparatus, a wireless message, to a mobile device, requesting information for authenticating the financial transaction,
- wherein the wireless message is configured by the computing apparatus to be managed by the mobile device based at least in part on a service context that includes at least one of a current geographical location of the mobile device or a geographical location of the financial transaction, and that is based on one or more of a user of the mobile device, an internal operating condition of the mobile device, or an external environment of the mobile device;
- receiving, by the computing apparatus from the mobile device, authentication information associated with authenticating the financial transaction;
- and
- facilitating, by the computing apparatus, authentication of the financial transaction based on the received information.
A non-transitory computer-readable medium storing executable instructions that, if executed, cause a computing device to perform operations regarding a financial transaction comprising:
- transmitting, for reception by a mobile device via wireless communication, a message that includes a request for information regarding a financial transaction;
- causing conditioned activation of autonomous servicing of the received message by the mobile device based at least in part on a service context,
- wherein the service context includes at least one of a current geographical location of the mobile device or a geographical location of the financial transaction, and
- wherein further the service context is based on data including one or more of data about a user of the mobile device, data about an internal operating condition of the mobile device, or data about an external environment of the mobile device;
- and
- determining whether to authenticate the financial transaction.
A method comprising:
- receiving, by a computing apparatus, a request associated with a proposed financial transaction;
- providing, by the computing apparatus, for a mobile device via wireless communication, a message serving as a request for information related to facilitating the proposed financial transaction;
- causing, by the computing apparatus, the request for information to be conditionally handled by autonomous servicing of the message by the mobile device based at least in part on a service context of the mobile device, the information related to facilitating the proposed financial transaction being based at least in part on the conditioned autonomous servicing of the message;
- receiving, by the computing apparatus from the mobile device, a response to the providing of the message, the response including the information related to facilitating the proposed financial transaction;
- and
- providing, by the computing apparatus, based on the information related to facilitating the proposed financial transaction, a response to the request associated with the proposed financial transaction.
A non-transitory computer-readable medium storing executable instructions that, if executed, cause a computing device to perform operations comprising:
- providing, for a mobile device via wireless communication, a message serving as a request for information related to facilitating a proposed financial transaction;
- causing conditioned activation of autonomous servicing of the message by the mobile device to conditionally handle the request for information based at least in part on a service context of the mobile device, the information related to facilitating the proposed financial transaction being based at least in part on the conditioned autonomous servicing of the message;
- determining, based on the information related to facilitating the proposed financial transaction having been received from the mobile device, whether to facilitate the proposed financial transaction.
A method for autonomous service by a mobile device, comprising:
- receiving, by a mobile device via wireless communication, a message serving as a request for information related to facilitating a proposed financial transaction;
- autonomously servicing, by an agent of the mobile device, the message based at least in part on a service context of the mobile device;
- conditionally handling, by the mobile device, the request for information by the autonomous servicing of the message, the information related to facilitating the proposed financial transaction being based at least in part on the autonomous servicing of the message;
- and
- providing, by the mobile device, the information related to facilitating the proposed financial transaction.
