Abstract
A projection screen includes a transparent substrate having a first side and a second side, an array of lenses disposed along the first side of the transparent substrate, a dark film disposed across the second side of the transparent substrate, an array of holes disposed through the dark film, and an array of diffusing spots each aligned with a corresponding one of the array of holes.

A projection screen, comprising:
- a transparent substrate having a first side and a second side;
- an array of lenses disposed along the first side of the transparent substrate;
- a dark film disposed across the second side of the transparent substrate;
- an array of holes disposed through the dark film;
- and
- an array of diffusing spots each aligned with a corresponding one of the array of holes,
- wherein the array of lenses are each separated by a first separation pitch and the array of holes are each separate by a second separation pitch, wherein the first and second separation pitches are different.
