Abstract
Disclosed are methods for preventing metastasis of cancer cells. The disclosed compounds can be used to prevent the spread of tumor or other types of cancer cells.
Claims20
A method for reducing the volume of a tumor in a subject in need thereof, comprising administering to the subject a therapeutically-effective amount of a compound of the formula:
- wherein R is a thiazolyl unit having the formula:
- R2 and R4 are each chosen from:
- i) substituted or unsubstituted C1-C6 linear, C3-C6 branched, or C3-C6 cyclic alkyl;
- iii) substituted or unsubstituted phenyl;
- or
- iv) substituted or unsubstituted thiophenyl;
- R1— is C1-C6 linear, C3-C6 branched or C3-C6 cyclic alkoxy;
- or
- a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof.
A method for reducing metastasis of cancer in a subject in need thereof, comprising administering to the subject a therapeutically-effective amount of a compound of the formula:
- or
- a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof.
A method for reducing metastasis of cancer in a subject in need thereof, comprising administering to the subject a composition comprising:
- A) a therapeutically-effective amount of a compound having the formula:
- or
- a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof;
- and
- B) a chemotherapeutic agent.
