A pharmaceutical composition comprising a compound of one of the following formulas formula, in combination with a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier and in the form of a pill, tablet, capsule, or caplet:
A method of treating a retroviral infection, comprising administering a compound of the following formula,
- wherein:
- Z is selected from the group consisting of C1-6 alkyl, alkenyl, halo, —OR′, —NR′R″, —CF3, —CN, —NO2, C2R′, —SR′, —N3, —C(═O)NR′R″, —NR′C(═O)R″, —C(═O)R′, —C(═O)OR′, —OC(═O)R′, —OC(═O)NR′R″, —NR′C(═O)OR″, —SO2R′, —SO2NR′R″, and NR′SO2R″,
- where R′ and R″ are individually hydrogen, C1-6alkyl, cycloalkyl, aryl, or arylalkyl,
- R18 is a 4-8 membered ring azacycle, and
- j is an integer from 0-3, to a patient in need of treatment thereof,
- wherein the retroviral infection is HIV.
