Treatment of immune dysregulation using cannabinoid derivatives

A method of treatment of HIV, Simian Immuno deficiency Virus, Feline Immunodeficiency Virus and influenza, the method comprising administering to a subject in need thereof a therapeutically effective dose of a cannabinoid derivative having the formula:

• R1 is H;
• R2 is H;
• R3 is (W)m—Y—(Z)n, wherein
• W is a C5-12 straight or branched alkyl,
• Y is a bond,
• Z is a C5-12 alkyl, and wherein
• m and n are different, and each is either 0 or 1;
• R6 and R6′ each is C1 alkyl;
• R7 is C1 alkyl;
• Q is O;
• and the dashed line of Ring C represents a double bond at position Δ8-9.
