Abstract
The invention relates to the soybean variety designated D400401. Provided by the invention are the seeds, plants and derivatives of the soybean variety D400401. Also provided by the invention are tissue cultures of the soybean variety D400401 and the plants regenerated therefrom. Still further provided by the invention are methods for producing soybean plants by crossing the soybean variety D400401 with itself or another soybean variety and plants produced by such methods.

A plant produced by introducing a single locus conversion into soybean variety D400401, or a selfed progeny thereof comprising the single locus conversion, wherein the single locus conversion was introduced into soybean variety D400401 by backcrossing or genetic transformation and wherein a sample of seed of soybean variety D400401 has been deposited under ATCC Accession No. PTA-122451.
