Surfactant composition from polyfluoroalkylsulfonamido alkyl amines

A mixture of aminosulfonate or aminocarboxylate compositions, or mixtures thereof, which comprises:

• i) at least one compound represented by
• and
• ii) at least one compound represented by
• wherein:
• a and b are independently chosen from integers such that a≧0, b>0, and a+b=3;
• c and d are independently chosen from integers such that c≧0, d>0, and c+d=2;
• each Rf is the same in i) and ii) and chosen from a C2-C12 polyfluoroalkyl, comprising partially or completely fluorinated linear or branched alkyl, optionally interrupted by one to four groups chosen from:
• —O—, —S—, —S(O)—, and —S(O)2—;
• each n in i) and ii) is the same and chosen from an integer from 0 to 6;
• each m in i) and ii) is the same and chosen from an integer from 0 to 10;
• each R1, R5, R6 is independently chosen from hydrogen, C1 to C6 hydroxyalkyl, C1 to C6 halogen substituted alkyl, or a C1 to C6 linear or branched alkyl;
• provided that each R1 in i) and ii) are the same, each R5 in i) and ii) are the same, and each R6 in i) and ii) are the same;
• each R4 in i) and ii) are the same and chosen from hydrogen or a C1 to C6 alkyl, or a C1 to C6 hydroxyalkyl;
• each R7 is independently chosen from a hydroxycarbonyl substituted C1 to C6 alkyl, and oxysulfonylalkyl,
• their corresponding metal and ammonium salts, and mixtures thereof.
