Abstract
The invention relates to (among other things) oligomer-dantrolene conjugates and related compounds. A conjugate of the invention, when administered by any of a number of administration routes, exhibits advantages over previously administered compounds.
Claims5
A compound having the following structure
- wherein:
- R2 is a member of the group consisting of hydrogen, hydroxyethyl, alkyl, and 4-pyridylethyl;
- (a) is either zero or one;
- (b) is either zero or one;
- R3, when present, is selected from the group consisted of nitro, cyano, amino, chloro, bromo, acetyl, carboxy, methyl and trifluoromethyl;
- R4, when present, is selected from the group consisting of nitro, cyano, amino, chloro, bromo, acetyl, carboxy, methyl and trifluoromethyl;
- and
- POLY is a poly(ethylene oxide) having a molecular weight of below about 1500 Daltons.
