Abstract
A microsphere and methods for forming the same are disclosed. The microsphere includes modified cellulose and at least one first microsphere disposed within a multi-encapsulating microsphere, the at least one first microsphere comprising at least one first hydrogel precursor; and at least one second microsphere disposed within the multi-encapsulating microsphere, the at least one second microsphere comprising at least one second hydrogel precursor cross-linkable with the at least one first hydrogel precursor upon degradation of the at least one first microsphere and the at least one second microsphere.
Claims6
A multi-encapsulating microsphere comprising:
- modified cellulose;
- at least one first microsphere disposed within the multi-encapsulating microsphere, the at least one first microsphere comprising at least one first hydrogel precursor;
- and
- at least one second microsphere disposed within the multi-encapsulating microsphere, the at least one second microsphere comprising at least one second hydrogel precursor cross-linkable with the at least one first hydrogel precursor upon degradation of the at least one first microsphere and the at least one second microsphere.
