Strand-wound bladder

An article of footwear comprising:

• an upper;
• and a sole structure secured to the upper, the sole structure including a pressure chamber, wherein the pressure chamber includes a bladder having an elongate configuration that defines a longitudinal axis, the bladder having two end regions, and the bladder being sealed in both end regions to enclose a pressurized fluid, and wherein the pressure chamber further includes a strand secured to an outer surface of the bladder, the strand being wound in a substantially helical configuration about the longitudinal axis, and the strand being in tension.

An article of footwear comprising:

• an upper;
• and a sole structure secured to the upper, the sole structure including a pressure chamber, wherein the pressure chamber includes a sealed bladder enclosing a pressurized fluid, the bladder having an elongate configuration that defines a longitudinal axis, and wherein the pressure chamber further includes a strand wound in a substantially helical configuration about the longitudinal axis, the strand being in tension and secured to the bladder by a polymer bond.
