Abstract
An invention-based control system for at least one robot comprises a, especially symmetric, multi-core architecture with a first virtual machine (V1) with at least one computing engine (C3), which has been provided for controlling at least one process application (P) of this robot.
Claims11
A control system for at least one robot, with a, especially symmetrical, multi-core-architecture formed by a microprocessor on a chip with several computing engines said multi-core-architecture representing a first virtual machine, wherein said first virtual machine comprises at least one of said computing engines, and wherein the first virtual machine has been provided for controlling at least one process application of a robot,
- wherein the multi-core architecture comprises a second virtual machine with at least one further computing engine, and the second virtual machine has been provided for motion control with at least one drive of the robot.
A method for controlling at least one robot, comprising:
- controlling at least one process application of the at least one robot with a first virtual machine of a control system,
- wherein the control system is connected to a plurality of drives of at least one robot, and the control system comprises a shared memory and a microprocessor on a chip that includes a plurality of processing cores configured in a plurality of computing engines,
- wherein the first virtual machine is implemented in a first computing engine of the plurality of computing engines and configured to control at least one process application of the robot, and
- wherein a second virtual machine is configured for motion control with at least one drive of the plurality of drives of the robot.
A control system for at least one robot, with a, especially symmetrical, multi-core-architecture formed by a microprocessor on a chip with several computing engines said multi-core-architecture representing a first virtual machine, wherein each of said computing engines is used only by one virtual machine, and wherein the first virtual machine has been provided for controlling at least one process application of a robot.
