Abstract
A Z-axis test coupon structure includes a plurality of circularly-arranged tensile specimens oriented along a Z-axis and at least one web connecting adjacent ones of the plurality of tensile specimens.
Claims20
A Z-axis test coupon structure, comprising:
- a plurality of tensile specimens, each tensile specimen having a longitudinal axis, and the tensile specimens being circumferentially space about a circle having a center on a first axis of the Z-axis test coupon structure such that the longitudinal axes of the tensile specimens are parallel to the first axis;
- and at least one web bridging a gap between adjacent ones of the plurality of tensile specimens to connect adjacent ones of the plurality of tensile specimens.
A Z-axis test coupon structure, comprising:
- a plurality of tensile specimens, each tensile specimen having a longitudinal axis, and the tensile specimens being circumferentially space about a circle having a center on a first axis of the Z-axis test coupon structure such that the longitudinal axes of the tensile specimens are parallel to the first axis, at least a first one of the tensile specimens and a second one of tensile specimens having different ply orientations;
- and
- at least one web connecting adjacent ones of the plurality of tensile specimens.
