Abstract
Servo data of one or more tracks of a disk are collected using first and second read transducers co-located on a slider. Redundant portions of the servo data collected by the first and second read transducers are compared, and at least part of the servo data validating or corrected based on comparing the redundant portions.
Claims20
A method comprising:
- collecting servo data of one or more tracks of a disk using first and second read transducers co-located on a slider;
- comparing redundant portions of the servo data collected by the first and second read transducers;
- and
- validating or correcting at least part of the servo data based on comparing the redundant portions.
1 more element
An apparatus comprising:
- a controller capable of being coupled to first and second read transducers co-located on a slider, the controller configured to:
- collect servo data of one or more tracks of a disk via the first and second read transducers;
- compare redundant portions of the servo data collected by the first and second read transducers;
- and
- validate or correct at least part of the servo data based on comparing the redundant portions.
2 more elements
A non-transitory computer-readable medium storing instructions operable by a processor to perform:
- collecting servo data of one or more tracks of a disk using first and second read transducers co-located on a slider;
- comparing redundant portions of the servo data collected by the first and second read transducers;
- and
- validating or correcting at least part of the servo data based on comparing the redundant portions.
