Abstract
An image processor includes a synthesis processing unit adapted to generate a panoramic image by clipping images from a plurality of captured images and connecting the clipped images together and a processing unit adapted to correct image distortions of a subject in the panoramic image due to varying distances to the subject by modifying the panoramic image on the basis of distance information obtained by measuring the distances to a plurality of positions of the subject.
Claims20
An image processing apparatus comprising:
- a central processing unit (CPU) operable to:
- generate a panoramic image by clipping images from a plurality of captured images and connecting the clipped images together;
- and
- correct image distortions of a subject in the panoramic image by modifying the panoramic image based on distance corresponding to each of a plurality of positions of the subject in the panoramic image.
An image processing method comprising:
- generating a panoramic image by clipping images from a plurality of captured images and connecting the clipped image together;
- and
- correcting image distortions of a subject in the panoramic image by modifying the panoramic image based on distance corresponding to each of a plurality of positions of the subject in the panoramic image.
A non-transitory computer readable storage medium having stored thereon, instructions causing a computer to perform image processing for generating a panoramic image from a plurality of captured images, the instructions comprising:
- generating a panoramic image by clipping images from a plurality of captured images and connecting the clipped images together;
- and
- correcting image distortions of a subject in the panoramic image by modifying the panoramic image based on distance corresponding to each of a plurality of positions of the subject in the panoramic image.
An imaging apparatus comprising:
- a central processing unit (CPU) operable to:
- generate a synthetic image by clipping images from a plurality of captured images and synthesizing the clipped images together;
- measure distance corresponding to each of a plurality of positions of a subject in the synthesized image;
- and
- correct image distortions of the subject in the synthesized image by modifying the synthesized image based on the measured distance corresponding to each of the plurality of positions of the subject in the synthesized image.
