Abstract
The present invention provides for alfalfa events J-101 and J-163 and DNA molecules unique to these events. The invention also provides methods for detecting the presence of these DNA molecules in a plant sample.

A recombinant DNA molecule comprising a sequence selected from the group consisting of SEQ ID NO:1, SEQ ID NO:2, SEQ ID NO:3, SEQ ID NO:4, SEQ ID NO:5, SEQ ID NO:6, SEQ ID NO:7 and SEQ ID NO:8 and further comprising a glyphosate tolerant 5-enolpyruvyl-3-physphoshikimate synthase (EPSPS) coding sequence.
