Abstract
An ink cartridge including: a water-based ink for ink-jet recording which contains a dye represented by a general formula (1), a triazole-based compound, and water; and a metallic component which has a contact surface contacting with the water-based ink, a concentration of a iron-oxidized component at the contact surface being not more than 5 atomic % wherein, in the general formula (1), Pc (Cu) represents a copper phthalocyanine nucleus represented by a general formula (Pc).
Claims12
An ink cartridge comprising:
- a water-based ink for ink-jet recording which contains a dye represented by a general formula (1), a triazole-based compound, and water;
- and
- a metallic component which has a contact surface contacting with the water-based ink, a concentration of an iron-oxidized component at the contact surface being greater than 0 atomic % and not more than 5 atomic %;
- wherein, in the general formula (1),
- Pc (Cu) represents a copper phthalocyanine nucleus represented by a general formula (Pc);

- R1, R2, R3, and R4 are not all identical to each other;
- at least one of R1, R2, R3, and R4 has an ionic hydrophilic group as a substituent;
- at least one of R1, R2, R3, and R4 is present on each of four benzene rings A, B, C, and D of the copper phthalocyanine nucleus represented by the general formula (Pc);
- Ra represents a substituted or unsubstituted alkyl group;
- Rb represents a hydrogen atom or a substituted or unsubstituted alkyl group;
- Rc represents a substituted or unsubstituted alkyl group;
- k satisfies 0<k<8;
- l satisfies 0<l<8;
- m satisfies 0≦m<8:
- n satisfies 0≦n<8;
- and k, l, m, and n satisfy 4≦k+1+m+n≦8.
