Pharmaceutical compositions containing substituted 6-deoxy-6-sulfanylcyclodextrin

A dialysis solution comprising

• (i) at least one 6-deoxy-6-sulfanylcyclodextrin of the general structure I:
• where
• a) X stands for S—R or —OH, wherein S—R is present at a degree of substitution≧0.0001 and ≦n
• b) n stands for 6, 7 or 8,
• c) R is selected from the group consisting of C1-6-alkyl-NR1R2, C1-6-alkyl-N+R3R4R5, C1-6-alkyl-COOH, C(═O)C1-6-alkyl-COOH, —C(═O)—CH2—C(OH)(COOH)—CH2—COOH, dihydroxylated C1-6-alkyl, C1-6-alkyl-PO3H2 and —C1-6-alkyl-SO3H,
• where R1, R2, R3, R4 and R5, independently of one another, stand for H or —C1-3-alkyl, and
• (ii) the following ingredients in the following concentrations:
• Ca2⊕ 0.5 to 5 meq/L;
• Mg2⊕ 0 to 3.0 meq/L;
• Cl⊖ 90.5 to 121 meq/L;
• K⊕ 0 to 4.0 meq/L;
• HCO3⊖ 25 to 40 meq/L.
