Abstract
There are provided a printing apparatus which holds a job, determines whether attribution information of a sheet to be used by the stored job is registered for a sheet storage unit, judges whether a sheet exists in a sheet storage unit to be used by the job, and notifies a result of the determination and a result of the judgment.

A printing apparatus comprising:
- a holding unit configured to hold a job;
- a reception unit configured to receive an executing instruction for executing the job held in the holding unit;
- a determination unit configured to determine whether attribution information of a sheet to be used by the job held in the holding unit is registered for a sheet storage unit;
- a judgment unit configured to judge whether a sheet exists in a sheet storage unit to be used by the job;
- and
- a notification unit configured to notify, before the reception unit receives the executing instruction, a result of the determination by the determination unit and a result of the judgment by the judgment unit.

A method of controlling a printing apparatus, comprising:
- holding, in a holding unit, a job;
- receiving an executing instruction for executing the job held in the holding unit;
- determining whether attribution information of a sheet to be used by the job held in the holding unit is registered for a sheet storage unit;
- judging whether a sheet exists in a sheet storage unit to be used by the job;
- and
- notifying, before the executing instruction is received, a result of the determination and a result of the judging.
